UCB Rotary Stepper Motors deliver 30,000 hours of continuous use, with 3, 6, 12 or 24vversions ideal for battery powered applications, and that deliver quieter operation than comparable PMDC-type motors.  These rotary stepper motors can be driven by a wide frequency range, from as low as 10 Hz up to 550 Hz, to effectively handle a wide range of application needs.  UCB steppers can even be stalled without any damage to the rotor assembly, and what’s more, they will never overheat or burn up.

UCB Rotary Stepper Motors feature a compact 28mm x 24mm footprint, provide 1.3 – 2.3 cNm holding torque and are available with bipolar or unipolar winding configurations.  They can be mounted in any position, and can be combined with a Saia gearbox to maximize output torque and reduce motor RPM.

Tubular Solenoid for Long Stroke, High Force Applications

Rotary SolenoidsThe customer had an application in which there was a need to open the door to vent large industrial ovens, but was unable to use a motor as the door must be able to be closed manually.  The Size 150 Tubular Solenoid was selected, as it can be pushed back to the starting position in a manual override situation, with no resulting damage.

The Size 150 Tubular Solenoid, for long stroke, high force applications, is among the most powerful Tubular Solenoids offered by Ledex Products.  The maximum torque at low duty cycles surpasses 20 pounds and can operate at strokes as long as 1 inch.

New Ledex® B12 Box Frame Solenoids – Miniature Powerhouse Ideal for Battery Powered Applications

Rotary SolenoidsJohnson Electric introduces Ledex® B12 Series Box Frame Solenoids.  At just 2.0 in (50.8 mm) x 1.25 in (31.75 mm) the B12 are the company’s most compact linear open frame solenoids available to date.  They are specifically engineered to fit where space is at a premium and to provide fast actuation times and high performance in applications where battery powered operation may be required.  Pull versions are standard; push versions are also available.

B12 Series box frame solenoids weigh just 0.3 oz. (8.5 g), provide dielectric strength of 500 VRMS for one second with holding force of 7.7 oz. (2.1 N) at 20°C, and provide 100% continuous duty cycle operation at 20°C ambient temperature.  A magnetically latching version will be launched later in 2010.
